How to Teach the correct sequence of body power application on the Erg
It is hard to teach a beginner to row using the full power of the back against the legs. This is because they have difficulty identifying which part of the back to use and often opt for the shoulders not the core.
We currently advocate teaching beginners to row the Consecutive technique (legs then back then arms) and then once mastered teach the Concurrent technique (legs and back then arms)
We find that this is the best way to teach them to row without using the shoulders too early. Hence here we have three videos to assist.
