Analysis - Should you train with Heavy or Light oars?

In this video, Lachlan discusses and tests oar length when training. He highlights the pros and cons of training with heavy and light oars. Both approaches have merit, but the athlete's technique and physiology should guide your decisions.

Lachlan changes his oars from longer(288.5cm) to shorter(283.5cm) and goes for a 1.5-hour row. He then discusses the boat's changes and his thoughts on using this strategy as a training tool. Finally, he compares the data using the Rowing in Motion app to see the measurable changes to his rowing stroke.
