Question and Answer - Olympic multi-medal winning coach John Driessen on boat setup

In this 71-minute video, John Driessen answers questions about setting up the boat for juniors, elites, and masters. This workshop on practical boat setup is the culmination of over 40 years of experience spanning everyone from juniors to Olympic medal-winning crews, what works and what doesn't.

The first half of the video covers the basics of rigging, equipment, and set up common mistakes and good rules of thumb. If you have a good handle on rigging, skip the first bit. The second half of the video is a juicy Q and A session getting into the nitty-gritty day to day problems rowers and coaches have with boat setup. John's style is an ultra-practical mix of science and philosophy.
