Quick fix for Dropped Wrists

In this video, Lachlan Davey demonstrates the fastest and easiest way he has found to stop rowers from dropping their wrists at the finish. This tip came from one of our rowers, Joel Naukkarinen, in Finland. Dropped wrists have been a notoriously hard habit to break, until now.

Most athletes have trouble keeping their wrists flat at the finish when they tap down with the hands. Dropped wrists often result in a weak body position at the finish making it challenging to flow onto the next stroke, wasting valuable energy and time. Tapping down with flat wrists gives you more room for a clean extraction of the blade out of the water. If an athlete can master this skill, then they have the advantage around the finish.
