Can you see what's missing at the catch?

Can you see how this athlete is missing the first eight inches at the catch on the ergo?

In this video, Olympic Coach Brett Crow shows you what most people can't see and how to teach your athlete or yourself how to feel it.

Speed of movement can be the difference between having a good catch or not. Do you need to ask yourself what a fast catch is? Many people think its all about getting the blade in the water.  That's only half the story. The other half is applying power as soon as possible.

A better connection leads to a better release. Anything lost at the beginning of the stroke will result in a futile attempt to pick it up
