Coach and Coxswain Communication
The coxswain is a vital member of a crew. They are especially crucial with helping the crew manage their technique.
It is essential that the coxswain can communicate with the coach. If you use a two-way radio with an earpiece, then you can describe to the coxswain what technical problems each crew member has and how they can go about fixing it. By doing this, the coxswain becomes the second coach in the boat, unlike the coach, the coxswain will be present on race day.
A two-way radio can also be useful for safety or communicating over long distances when the coach and the crew are separated.
